Local Points of Interest
Fisherman Intaglio
The Fisherman Intaglio is a large
outline of a human figure on the
desert floor about 12 mile south of
Bouse just off Plomosa Road. It
was created many years ago by
Native American Indians by scraping
away the dark desert stones,
exposing the light desert soil
underneath. The construction
method used is similar to the Nazca
Plain figures in Peru.
Alamo Lake
Alamo Lake State Park is a flood
control and recreation reservoir
located about 28 miles north of
Wenden. It is considered the
secret jewel of the Arizona
Outback and is stocked with
numerous types of fish and hosts
several fishing tournaments each
year.
Parker Strip
The Parker Strip is a 17 mile stretch
of the Colorado River that is
between the town of Parker and
the Parker Dam to the north. It is
considered a world class site for
boating, water skiing and other
watercraft recreation. There are
numerous campgrounds and resorts
located along its length making it
an ideal year round water sports
playground.
About Plomosa Land
Hello, my name is Scott Aldinger and I am the founder and owner of Plomosa Land. Plomosa Land is not a real estate
company or brokerage but is the name of the website I use to sell land I own in La Paz County, Arizona.
About Me
I am a retired Electrical Engineer who now lives in Scottsdale, Arizona. I am not a real estate agent or broker, just a
private landowner of the parcels you see for sale here. I moved to Phoenix many years ago and spent my spare time
exploring Arizona. My travels eventually brought me to the Arizona Outback (west central Arizona) and I was struck
by its vast open spaces and desert mountains. To me it was the classic example of the Old West. Over the years I
had the good fortune to acquire a number of tracts of land in central La Paz County. The parcels for sale here are
pieces from some of those original tracts.
About The Land For Sale
All of the parcels for sale here are large, natural, never developed pieces located in central La Paz county, All are in
the high growth corridor of Avenue 41E and Avenue 42E south of Highway 72. All are flat and have 360 degree views
of the surrounding mountains. Most have paved road access, power to the property and are flat with no washes.
Most have views of the Plomosa Mountains to the west, hence the name of my website, Plomosa Land.
La Paz County has a total area of 4,518 square miles but only 5.3% of it is privately owned. Very little of the
privately owned land is currently for sale, and most are small, remote lots. Lot splits are reducing the number of
large parcels which makes these large tracts even scarcer. Large parcels like these in prime areas are very rare. All
of these parcels are in their natural state. None have been previously farmed or developed.
Their location in the Avenue 41E/42E corridor make them excellent farm, development or investment properties.
